Referral Program Terms

The referral program is a free, optional feature. Share your personal invite link. A friend who creates a new account receives a welcome grant; your reward is earned separately when that friend purchases Gems:

• Your friend receives a welcome grant of bonus Gems, credited when their account is created.
• You earn bonus Gems as a percentage of each eligible Gem purchase your friend makes, subject to review and the platform reward budget. Sign-up alone and subscription purchases do not earn this commission.
• Amounts and rates. The welcome grant shown on the invite page applies at sign-up. Your applicable reward rate is recorded for each eligible Gem purchase. Changes apply prospectively; rewards already accrued are not recalculated using a new rate.
• Trials are separate. If your invited friend later subscribes, they start with a 14-day free trial (instead of the standard 7). This trial extension is independent of the Gems reward. Trials remain once per person, for life.

Only new accounts count. Clicks from existing account holders, or sign-ins by people who already have an account, do not create a referral.

The only reward this program ever grants is bonus Gems, credited automatically to your account:

• Automatic. Bonus Gems are added to your Gems balance for you; there is nothing to redeem, activate or claim separately.
• Same unlocking effect. Bonus Gems unlock episodes with the same effect as purchased Gems.
• No cash value. Bonus Gems cannot be exchanged for money, credit, discounts or anything else, and are not redeemable in any form.
• Non-transferable. Bonus Gems attach to your account only and cannot be given, sold or moved to another account.
• Non-refundable and time-limited. Bonus Gems are granted free of charge; they are excluded from any refund, and expire 90 days after the most recent bonus you received (see the Terms, Gems section).

• Rewards are a percentage of what your friends spend. Each time someone you invited buys Gems, you receive bonus Gems worth a set percentage of that purchase's face value. You earn nothing from a friend who never buys anything.
• Platform-wide monthly cap. Total referral payouts in a calendar month are capped as a share of that month's total Gem purchases across the platform. Once the cap is reached, payouts pause for the rest of the month and resume automatically the next month — pending rewards are not forfeited.
• Single level only. You earn only from people you directly invite. You never earn anything from invitations made by the people you invited, and there is no multi-level structure of any kind.

A referral relationship is established when your friend creates a new account through your link. Their welcome grant and your purchase-based commissions have separate eligibility checks. Commissions are accrued per eligible purchase and granted after review; pending grants may be delayed by the platform reward budget.

• Your friend must be a real, different person. Referrals showing self-referral signals (for example the same device, or trivial email variants) are denied.
• Each person can be referred once, ever. Creating new accounts to re-use trials or rewards is abuse.
• Some referrals may be held for manual review before a decision; reviews are resolved within a bounded time and are not silently forfeited.

• Reversal (clawback). If a payment made by a friend you invited is later refunded or disputed, the bonus Gems you earned from that referral are reversed — deducted from your Gems balance — in proportion to the payment reversal. If your bonus Gem balance is insufficient, the shortfall offsets future referral rewards. Your friend's welcome Gems are not affected by this reversal. You will be notified when a reversal happens.
• Abuse. Fabricated referrals, self-referrals, use of stolen payment methods, automation, or circumvention of caps may lead to denial of pending rewards, reversal of granted Gems, loss of referral eligibility, and account action under the Terms of Use.
• Pauses. We may pause new grants while payments connected to your referrals are in dispute, or while your referrals are under review.

Because you may receive bonus Gems when someone who joined through your link purchases Gems, you have a material connection to us when you share it. When you post or send your invite link, you must disclose this plainly — for example: "I may earn bonus Gems when you buy Gems."

Our pre-filled share message includes such a disclosure. If you write your own message, keep an equivalent disclosure in it. This is required by U.S. FTC endorsement rules and by these terms.

• We may modify, suspend or end the program — including the reward amounts — at any time with prospective effect. Bonus Gems already credited to your account are not taken away by a program change (expiry, and reversal for refunds, disputes or abuse still apply).
• Accounts are personal. Selling, renting or transferring an account — or attempting to — terminates promotional Gems on it and may terminate the account under the Terms of Use.
• If your account is terminated for cause, pending rewards and unused bonus Gems are forfeited.

These terms are part of the Terms of Use. Where they conflict, these terms govern the referral program.
